The inaugural lecture of the Artificial Intelligence Masters Program, the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala took place on Friday afternoon, September 3, 2021, online using the Zoom application. Twelve students attended this inaugural lecture. The lecture started with the Management and Data Modeling course, supervised by Dr. Nizamuddin. On that occasion, Dr. Nizamuddin started the lecture by explaining the course outline, projects, and assessments and then continued with the lecture.

On the following day, Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 08.00 Jakarta time, the lecture was continued by Prof. Dr. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, who teaches Computer Programming for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence course. The course objective is to provide students hands-on programming skills and best practices related to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. It is a tutorial course where students will develop programming skills in loading, cleansing, transforming, modeling, and visualizing data. This course aims for a technical, research-oriented audience who would like to develop fundamental skills needed to link math, data science, and Python seamlessly together. The lecture was continued with a Research Methodology Course led by Prof. Dr. Hizir. The lecture continued with the Artificial Intelligence Course, supervised by Dr. Zahnur, who discussed the concept of artificial intelligence during the afternoon session.
